Long Bio
Author and speaker Annie Wolter is a fun-filled author who loves to share and write stories of God’s faithfulness. In March of 2023, she is publishing From Lonely to Loved: Trials and Triumphs on My Journey toward Marriage and From Lonely to Loved Reflections Workbook.
As a young adult, Annie wanted to marry at age twenty-four. When she reached that age without being wed, she proved her flexibility by moving the goal to age twenty-six! Four years later, at twenty-eight with no dating prospects in sight, she experienced a crisis of dreams. She found it hurtful to be so close to age thirty without time to meet someone, fall in love, get engaged, and have her first child.
Even though she desired marriage, she hadn’t been doing much about her dream of marriage, mostly because she had kept it as just that—a dream but not a goal. “For years, I was a victim to a myth that I had to be content living my life as a single person before love would come my way.”
One night when she cried out to God in her pain, he responded by giving her a promise that love would come to her door one day. But for now, there was a barrier. All of this came to pass as years went by and she married her husband much later than she had hoped to do.
Annie wrote the From Lonely to Loved series to encourage singles who are looking for a lifelong love but need hope when the waiting seems long. She aims to encourage singles that they can find love—even when it seems too late. Through the FLTL books and speaking engagements, Annie encourages single adults to turn relationship dreams into goals.
From Lonely to Loved is more than a love story. It tells of the challenges, decisions, opportunities, and joys that can make up the milestones of anyone’s long path to a dream—and how God listens, responds, and moves in our lives when we pour out our hearts to him.
